venue
Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library is nestled amidst nearly 1,000 acres of rolling meadows and woodlands just out side of Wilmington, Delaware. Guests are entitled to a complimentary garden and gallery pass the weekend of the wedding. Just visit front desk located in the lobby of the Visitor Center and tell them you're here for Dara and Aaron's wedding!
transportation
We ask that guests kindly arrive at Winterthur between 5:45 and 6:15pm; the ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30pm. Shuttle services will be provided for those staying in downtown Wilmington. More details to come soon!
If you're driving, Winterthur Museum has free on-site parking in the Visitor Center lot. Buses and trams will shuttle you from the parking lot when you arrive for the ceremony. Reserved handicapped parking is available in front of the Visitor Center lot.
accessibility
Shuttles, garden trams, and most walking paths are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Reserved handicapped parking is available in front of the Visitor Center lot.
kids
In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation, we've chosen for our wedding day to be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share this day with us and can enjoy having the evening (or weekend) off!
weather
If the weather allows, all parts of the evening will take place outdoors - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. If rain is likely, these events will take place inside.
dress code
Dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire - think "garden formal." Dresses, suits, pant suits, or whatever formal wear you're comfortable in. We encourage colors and florals! It's a massive garden, after all.
